NHRC organized a formal announcement program on the establishment of the Mobile Human Rights Camp on its office premise at Pulchowk. A Memorandum of Understanding has been made and signed jointly by the NHRC Nepal, Nepal Bar Association (NBA), Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN) to carryout mutual collaboration on establishment and implementation of Human Rights Mobile Camp to monitor the human rights situation of 14 most quake-hit districts. The overall objective of establishment of the mobile human rights camps is to extend the NHRC's outreach to the quake-affected districts to address human rights related problems at community level.

The participants of the program included President of FNJ, Dr. Mahendra Bista, General Secretary of NBA Sunil Pokharel, General Secretary of NFN, Gopal Lamsal and journalists from various print and electronic media, among others. The Program was chaired by Hon. Commissioner Prakash Wasti. Hon. Commissioners Sudip Pathak, Mohna Ansari, Govinda Sharma Paudyal, NHRC Secretary Bed Bhattarai and Officials were also present in the program.

The Program will be carried with the help of UNDP in Nepal.
